Introduction. The article addresses the problem of expanding potential vocabulary cadets maritime educational institutions in process listening comprehension determined by need to develop strategies for independent acquisition necessary autonomous learning English. purpose this is justify application corpus technologies selection items, which will allow students master required expand listening, and increase efficiency teaching Materials Methods. study follows two-level Maritime English model incorporating General Specialized first component focuses on linguistic content embedded generalized context prioritizes lexical cognitive approaches highlighting necessity their integration emphasizing tools helpful topic-related through instructional, statistic principles basis authentic texts. Results. describes preliminary stage junior proposes procedure text context-specific raw design thematic word list generation. Through computer processing wordlist analysis concordance lines, were identified ranked. conclusion was drawn about correlations between basic number applied. Conclusions. findings research add understanding corpus-based topical order cadets’ that are significant comprehension.
